Locate the turbo pressure sensor (above). Note the tube running to it. Disconnect this tube and plug said tube....there you have it, a free FCD in no more than 3 seconds. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, THIS MODIFICATION MAY BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR ENGINE UNDER SOME CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!
This will allow the stock turbo to run at max psi (approximately 18-19 psi for the stock turbo with a boost controller), so beware, this extreme psi can be VERY dangerous (detonation, engine running lean, etc.) so, again, use at your own risk.
(Ed.Note: There is also concern as posted on the MR2 Digest that unplugging the boost pressure sensor might cause the ECU to not inject the proper amount of fuel at 16psi as it will only see 0 psi due tothe disconnected pressure sensor. BEWARE!) Also, if you desire to install a boost guage, simply connect the tube you previously disconnected to your boost guage and you will have acurate boost (and vacuum) readings.
