Subject: New MR2 organization and Event
Let me start by introducing myself, my name is Jeff Mishtawy, I live in
Columbus Ohio, and I drive a '93 NA (Super Red). Tyler Winslow, myself, and a
few others are starting an MR2 owners club for Michigan and Ohio (or anyone
interested). A couple of newsletters have been sent out to owners that may be
interested, but we would like to get the word out a little faster. We do not
have a web page set up yet, but we will shortly. I am in hopes that you could
give us a mention at www.MR2.com with my E-mail address (since the web page
is not yet ready).
We will be having a track day at Gingerman Raceway in Michigan on Sept 26.
There should be driving instruction available, helmets will be required
(loaners will be on hand), and it will be open to all skill levels. We are
trying to encourage First timers to come out. It will be a 1 day thing, but
it will be the entire day. The cost is $100. We only have about 50 spots
left, and I want to be sure they go to MR2 drivers. I don't want to have to
let other car makes out there with us, it is not as fun :-). Anyway, please
drop me an E and let me know what you think.

Subject: Up comming MR2 event
This is Tyler from the Midwest MR2 Driver's Club. We are
holding a hotlap event at Gingerman raceway in South Haven Michigan on
Sept 26 (tenatively). The entry fee is $100 and we hope to provide lunch
for the people driving. Driver's should get about 1.3 hours of track
time. An optional driver's "school" starts at 9:00am, lapping begins at
11:00am. The only special equipment required is a snell85 or newer
helmet (loaners should be available). If there is anyway that you could
post this on the "Events" portion of the MR2 page it would really be
apreciated. If this event gets off the ground, we are planning to make
a donation to support this web page.

The Gingerman event that has been planned for Sept. 26 has been moved
back to Oct. 18th. Deadline for entry is Aug. 1st.
Also the MR2 Driver's CLub is planning a rally to start in Kalamazoo, MI
and finish at the Grand Rapids Grand Prix on the 25th of July. All who

Subject: Gingerman event
First off I would like to thanks you for putting our event on you web page, we
received several inquiries about the event as a direct result of this posting.
However, we are not going to be able to hold it this year. Due to lack of
interest we did not get enough of a response to pay for the track time.
Theresfore, if you get a chance could you please make it know through this web
page that there will be no MR2 Driver's Club event at Gingerman This year. We
hope to have a smoother run at it next year.
