mr2-digest Thursday, 19 October 1995 Volume 01 : Number 006 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: dgh (David G. Hough at validgh) Date: Wed, 18 Oct 95 16:54:47 PDT Subject: auto-undigesting for Unix users Those of you who are system administrators, or who are on good terms with one, can cause your digest to get undigested locally and automatically on arrival; if you are joe@user.com, Edit the undigest script to use your name "joe" instead of running whoami to decide where to send the mail since it will now be run by some daemon. Add joe-undigest to /etc/aliases as something like joe-undigest: joe,"| " and run newaliases. unsubscribe yourself from mr2-digest-request and subscribe as joe-undigest@user.com instead (sendmail -f may help here). Now you will get a copy of all mail sent to joe-undigest (it will not all be digests; mr2-announce messages go directly), but you can throw away the actual digests you get because they will be followed by each of the digested messages separately. If you have never fiddled with /etc/aliases you should get some help with this. ------------------------------ From: "Zublin, Bryan (SD-MS)" Date: Wed, 18 Oct 1995 17:38:00 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [none] Wayne Nelson writes: >I know most want a 5 speed, but the auto does offer some advantages in >addition to ease in heavy traffic. Is this reflected in the horse power ratings from Toyota? Does Toyota describe this extra boost in any of their literature? This is the first I have heard of it. Is a larger pulley used? For those who are interested, there is a good, tho short article in the back of novembers Top Gear magazine on buying MK1 MR2s, including some good price guides for servicing etc to take along to your Toyota garage next time they offer you 300 for a sevice.. Finally, everytime I connect to the MR2 homepage it gets hung up, does anyone know if I can ftp the FAQs and stuff about servincing manuals from anywhere, I desperately need a sevice manual. Cheers, now a bit about my car in return. :) I've got an 87E Mk1 coupe, in original condition and about 75k miles, still in sound condition due to the previous one lady owner.;) Thanks all, _______ Toby Wright; in the rain :( | at the Soaring Centre, UK / \ Mini-Nimbus C 169 - ---------------------------------(_ _)----------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of mr2-digest V1 #6
