HELP! I am currently looking for heavy duty performance part's for my 90
Toyota Celica GT coupe with it's (5-SFE)engine. I understand that my
engine and a non-turbo 90-up MR-2 has the same 2.2liter engine. Please
e-mail me at: belin@ite.net if anyone can help me find a header and cam
for my car. I did some small modification's on my car by adding a K&N
replacement airfilter with a Tornado AirManagement System installed in
the stock intake tube, Splitfire Sparkplug's, and Thrush Turbo muffler
with a 3"chrome tip.

Original owner of 92 NA T-top, red (of course!).
What a dilemma, I've always looked forward to getting a new "ride" every five years or so, but I just don't think I could part with this one anytime soon. If only computers and the Interenet were as trouble-free and enjoyable.
I found the site and the Mailing list about two months ago - have been enjoying both.
Located in Tulsa OK if any area MR2 owners are interested in a show and tell meet some weekend.

You could write more about tuning parts. I have a 93 Mr2 turbo with
a superchip and K and N air filter. The engine gives away 260 hp and
385 nm.

I really enjoy your site, it is very informative and interesting.
Also I would like to know if you will be interested in a cat back exhaust system from SheepDog which is from Japan.
It is very quiet and it contain three pieces down pipe, the muffler and another pipe in between which replace the
second cat( 70mm pipe, 101mm tips. I would say it is more quiet than Trust.

I am a potential MR2 MK1 buyer. Although the car I am thinking of purchasing is almost 10 years
an Mr2 has been my dream car since the day I was taking the bus to school. Now that I am in college
and Honda's are the in things right now, I opt to get an MR2 because of the fun factor I experienced from test driving the car.

Glad I found you ! I play with Studebakers mainly, but since I now
work for TMM in Georgetown KY, I bought a 1986 MR2 which I totaly
love. By the way, I saw the last 1996 Camry come off the line a
few weeks ago, and wrote down the VIN . It was headed for a dealer
with the rest. Nothing special for TMM . Just another car. One of
the TM,s Wrote "The End" on the windshield though. Write if anyone
is interested, or any other questions about "inside TMM". I'll try
to help. Herb

I have an older 1988 Honda Prelude and haven't seen very much on the
them. Now I can get a few items to modify the suspension, but not
much else. Now the older Preludes are very nice cars, and have a
a few horses behind them. What I would like to do is increase the
horses to at least be a little bit competitive out there. So, if you have any sugestions on
have any vendors that have some performance parts for the 1988 Honda
Prelude I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks Mario

Wonderful Site. Your Web Site's excellence is on par with the MR2. I've noticed a few guestbook signees decided to invade the site and say how their cars(Honda del sol and Mitsubishi Eclipse???) are so much better than the MR2. First of all, I want to find out how they typed the messages with straight-jackets on. And secondly, isn't your car "good" enough for its own web site.

i'm a proud owner of an '86 mr2 w/130K of hard miles on it. perf. mods include 205/50 ZR15 on Prime 5 spoke alloys with KYB Racing Struts. No lowering springs needed, this is the perfect setup. Flowmaster exhaust and I've COMPLETELY removed the stock air filter and assembly and replaced it a K+N cone filter attached to where the orignal setup was. This provides for a nice "whoosh" sound from the engine during 3500-4500 rpm (sounds like a jr. supercharge). Gas mileage is also about 30-32 mpg honest. Has anyone ever replaced the exhaust manifold with a high performance version? I'll be interested to know this. Also I have 12 speakers inside the passenger compartment so whoever's interested in my setup can contact me direct. Looking forward to all replies.

This is my second entry in the guest book cos I've just bought my second MR2 TBar! Sold my red 91/H for a gleaming 2 year old red 94/L model (with the bigger engine and redesigned rear end. Oh and the size of those rear wheels!!). I love it to bits, and it goes like stink. Having the CD system uprated next weekend. That second active bass subwoofer makes all the difference!

I LOVE my MR2. I have a 94 Cellica Yellow MR2 with the high F40 spoiler, and a set a 14" five spoke rims. It has 246,000 km and it still runs great. I have plans for it like new rims (16-17") and I would like some help on suggestions for MORE POWER. I have heard of a STROKER KIT by HKS Performance that is supposed to take the stock 112 HP up to 170 HP. If anybody has information on how to get the most out of my MR2 please send me E-Mail. Does anybody know if it is possible to put the Supercharged engine in the my 86 MR2? Would it require considerable modifications? THANKS!!!

great web site! I know these are great cars but mine just seems to be the bad egg of the bunch. I've had quite a few problems with it and don't know wether to sell or not. Hope someone can give some input out there. First, my AC won't blow-anything. when the fan switch is turned the blower motor won't spin but power still gets drawn off the engine. That problem and more abound. If anyone can point me in the direction of a good mechanic that won't jerk me around in the Austin,tx area I would appreciate it greatly. thanks

A friend of mine had a black '91 Turbo -- we had a lot of fun in it, until the winter came and he had to get rid of it! :) Darn you Toyota, I loved that car! Handles nice, nice get-up-and go, sleek, low design. Perfect!

Great site- The BEST on the web.I am purchasing a '91-'94 MR2 G-Limited n.a., 5-speed, Red with T-Tops and ABS. I've got a few contacts over here in New Zealand who can import one over to New Zealand from Japan, but, I know that the Importers buy them from Auction in Japan, DIRT CHEAP. I'd love to hear from ANYONE IN JAPAN who can give me Info. on how to buy one from these Auctions, and bring it in to N.Z. If anyone else has advice on where to go please e-mail me!.

I just purchased a 1986 MR2, white, black leather. It needs some work, body shop for that pesky rear fender rust (est. $500 job) and new brakes. But I love it, I had three RX7s previously and find that this toy is more nimble and tossable, what fun!

I own an 87 mr2 convertible purchased new in late 86 (approx. 17 were built for Toyota in the so. cal. market). Mister2 is super red with all decals and door rub strips removed for a cleaner look, 15" black
wire mesh Enki rims on Goodrich 195/50s, twin dual tip exhaust from Ansa exhausts, and Dan Gurney's signature inside the rear trunk lid (this was acquired during one the many mr2 meets put on by Toyota). mister2 has given me 101,000 miles of fun and pleasure and still looks almost as good as he did on day one. I hope to possibly drop in a supercharged engine at some future date and upgrade his tires and rims to 195/16/45s or better.

I was surfing the net the other day and stumbled upon a
homepage that was trying to dis Toyota (a particular service
department). While this guy was at it he kind of dissed
his leased MR2. He said he liked the car but not the service
though. I guess it's just the thought of somebody disrespeciting
any MR2 that gets me all worked up.!.!.!

My husband & I have owned 3 MR2s. We had a 1988 MR2 and traded iti in for a 1991 MR2.
We sold it and just recently bought a 1988 Supercharged MR2. We've
loved everyone of them but this little Supercharged one is definitely
the most fun to drive!!!

I fell in love with the mr2's the first year they came out, but being from New England, I studied them and finally bought my dark metallic 92 T-roof in late 91': Living in LA, I have the Commute From Hell, and my Putt-Putt-San now has 89,500 miles. Except for several speeding tix (now Officer, I couldn't have been going that fast!), I'm still madly in love with my car. . .and I've killed a VW bug, a Pulsar NX, one Plymouth Horizon, and a Chevy that had to be towed back to the dealer three times in the first 2 weeks I owned it. Great web site!

I used to own the 1991 MR2 (not turbo, t-tops, 5-speed) and let alone will I never buy anything but toyota, I am on the search for another MR2. Mine was stolen about a year ago and I have not bought a car yet because I'm looking for another perfect MR2. I put 100,000 miles on mine in 2 1/2 years and that gosh darn car never ever broke down on me! It even saved my life a few times. I was so excited when I found this home page! It's really cool.

So, if anyone out there is looking (for some reason) to get rid of their 1991-1995 (I am preferably looking for the 1995 model) to sell, I will travel anywhere (well, within 600 miles of Detroit) to take a look if the price is right. I want a black, red or that really dark green color, t-tops, NO turbo, has to be a five-speed, I don't care about leather, and preferably treated with care (I don't care about miles either). If you might have one, please e-mail me at KAF1306.aol with what you have and your price range. Thanks!

My utterly helpful "mechanic" brother put a synthetic oil system in my 1986 MR2. Whether he wants to admit it or not, I now have a blown engine? I love my car but don't have a good source for parts. Any suggestions.
