Great site! I've been interested in the Mr2 for a long time now. As far as cars go I think the Mr2 is amazing not only for looks(ferrari) but for performance as well. I'm a University student looking to buy a 1991-1993 model and thought I'd have a look at what some Mr2 lovers like me, have done to their cars. Once again great site.

The mr2 website is awesome.
I however am having with my 91 mr2. The car freqently over heats...not sure if it is the thermostat or air bubbles in the cooling system...anyone else having or had this problem. Thanks.

On my second MR2, the first was a 1986 I bought for $800.00. Rebuilt the motor as it smoked worse than an 18 wheeler. It had 94,000 miles on it. The one I have now is dark green with a brown Bauer style paint running all around the bottom. It has 96,000 kiles on it. I have a Alpine CD player, and a glasspack style muffler on it, so far. Plans call for a header and a K&N Ait filter to start. Car runs very strong.

I live in Spokane WA, and just received the news that the MR Spyder is coming here in may or so. However, there are only 230 available in the whole northwest. The #$%$%^%@# toyota dealer here in Spokane is going to mark their alotted 1 or 2 up to above $40,000. The Toyota BASE price was $17,000. Why the hell? What about us middle class people? Where do we come in?

Hereīs a nice story:
One night when I had to leave my MK1 outside (I hate that!), some guys stole the (very rare!) eagle badge on the front hood. So I needed something to cover the holes. I found a Ferrari badge sticker to do the job instead.
One day later I parked the car in front of the house of a friend. Two boys came along and shouted fascinating "Ooooh, look! A sports Car! A real Ferrari!" - Similar situations came again and again...
If somebody had told me before, that that so many people canīt differentiate a Toyota from a Ferrari... I had NEVER believed it!

I have a 1987 MR2 Super red it runs well and I love the car very much.
I will like some advice on how to improve it performance, so if you can help I will be very happy for the information. It is not a super chager it is a regular. It is in a very good condition everything still orginal.

Just wanted to inform everyone that the new MR2 Spyder will be available in April and like the Honda S2000, they're only making 5,000 annually.
But, $23,000 is a lot cheaper than the S2000 even if it is only 140hp and the Honda is 240.

I have an '88 N/A MR2. The engine went at 137,000 miles and is in the process of being rebuilt. The challenge I'm having is finding after-market performance parts for it. I feel like anything could be custom piped (turbo, header, cold-air intake). If I'm wrong, let me know. Anyway, I'll have a web site up soon with pics.

I love my 1991 Mr2! With a 17x7 in chrome rims it look sharp. If you are looking for a sport cars Mr2 is the right one. If you don't have one it's a damn shame. (I cannot wait to get my hand on the new MRS spider.}

I have a MR2 and it has bee a great car,and a good race car I had it clocked at 159mph then going down a hill it was going 165mph and it was stright out wound out.The rpm was running about 8500rpm's and it was way past red line but it has been a good car........

I have a 1987 Toyota Mr2 and I am really proud on how it runs and all. I am fixing up my car and so far i have fixed up the exterior by putting on some jacknife rims, exhaust, newly painted, tinted and so forth. I need some information on where i could find some interior parts such as dashboards etc. I want my whole interior to be the combonation colors of black and red because my interior right now is brown and i dont think it matches with the red exterior paint i got. If you have any information on where i could find a way to change the color of my interior then please email me. I thought of painting the interior but a lot of peeps told me already it would fade and peel.
