Tue Aug 1 09:10:51 200 Jeff May (blhpgbfwa.bellatlantic.COM) Just purchased my third MR2 since 1989, and I guess you can say I like this model car. My first was a Silver 1985 with a sunroof that I had from 1989 to 1996. Then a Black with T-Top and now a 1991 Black MKII with T-Top that is really a sweet car. I must say that I am really dissappointed with the new MR2 Spyder. Its lack of trunk space makes it a car not worth having. If I can't put my Golf clubs in it..... I don't want it!
Tue Aug 1 22:14:11 200 Steph Hamilton (spider-wa031.proxy.aol.com) I've owned a 1991 MR 2 for 8 years now. Your site is the best source of information I've found to date. Keep up the good work, it's much appreciated! S
Wed Aug 2 05:48:18 200 Bert Flament (195.75.176.95) Three months ago, I finally had the chance to buy myself a MR2 MKII. It's a blue metallic '90 T-bar model with the Eurospec. 2.0 Twincam 156 HP-engine. The color is very rare in these areas (Belgium), most MR2's are red or black, so it really is a very special car here. I hope I will be able to find more people in Belgium that maybe want to help starting a Belgian MR2 Club. If anyone is interested, don't hesitate to mail me!
Wed Aug 2 17:45:48 200 Curt D'Addario Sr. (proxy.netsetter.org) I am a MR2 die hard. I own 7 MR2's from '86-'88 including a '88 supercharged like to know more about IMOC and members
Thu Aug 3 08:55:56 200 nik (p28-nightjar-gui.tch.virgin.net) I am an owner of a MK1 MR2 t-bar, this is my second MR2 because my last one got run over by a shogon while it was parked. To date i have not had any problems with the new one which handles very well on 16" & 215-40-16.but am thinking about a scorpion stailess exhaust system.(comments-advice welcome)
Thu Aug 3 12:37:58 200 Sia Mahallati (bess-proxy8.laserlink.net) I recently bought a 92 MR2 (non-turbo) 5 speed. I am interested to find out at what RPM my MR2 should be at 50mph, 60mph, 70mph in 5th gear. I sometimes feel the engine runs at higher RPM than it should. I would greatly appreciate a response.

Sun Aug 6 15:06:02 200 Robert Agar (asn20-102.mcmail.com) Can anyone advise on delimiting my MR2 Turbo, 1994. The speedo head reads 110 MPH, but the odometer counts in Kilometres. The radio could do with band width expansion. I live 15 miles from central London. Many thanks.

Tue Aug 15 16:57:43 200 Kevin Ford (45-116.port3.waynesboro.supernet.com) I am interested in purchasing an MR2 preferably a 2nd gen turbo, but I'm concerned about reliability. This would be my daily transportation, Would anyone be able to suggest a N.A. over a Turbo any answer is greatly appreciated.
Wed Aug 16 01:12:25 200 Chris Taylor (spider-tj024.proxy.aol.com) 1991 Turbo Mr2 owner
Thu Aug 17 09:06:28 200 Jay Gallinger (spider-ta081.proxy.aol.com) I have owned quite a few Porsches ( 356,911,914) and raced a speedster for many years. The 1995 turbo GT TTop is the embodyment af all the great attributes of these cars, but with none of the low reliability when driver every day. When you put the key in the dash mounted ignition. move the short gate shift into gear, you know that this MR2 is a cut above anything in its class including the new Spyder. I now keep my car stored under cover and drive it on the great cool fall days we get here in Texas in Oct. and Nov. It a shame that Toyota stopped production of this model and we must try to preserve rather than enjoy.
Sat Aug 19 11:21:21 200 Nathan Sciacqua (id3.pm3.cheetah.net) Thank you for your web sight. It is very informative. I own a 1986 MR2. I have had this car since 1991. It is fully loaded w/the removable sunroof. I luve this car very much. I keep this car in cherry condition and I do all the work on the car my self. It now has a 125,000 miles on it, and still running great. I don't drive the car every day, so I have been able to keep the milage down. The reason I'am sending you this comment is because you have made a mistake in your facts reguarding the MRK1 model. This model never came asperated. Asperated means carberated. MR2's have allways been Fuel injected. Thank's Nate....^
Sun Aug 20 07:38:58 200 B. Doug (SKT2A010-0493.splitrock.net) I am a technician at a Toyota dealership in Northern California and a fan of the MR2. I just wanted you to know that the "MR" really does stand for "midship runabout". The 2000 Spyder has a hard plastic cover over the spare tire in the front that says "midship runabout" on it. Go to any Toyota dealership and you can see for yourself!
Sun Aug 20 10:17:58 200 ronnie montgomery (modem-148-81-60-62.vip.uk.com) this is a great website. I have an 1989 MR-2 and if you have any further info about anything to do about these cars then please e-mail with any info that you may have. Cheers Ronnie
Sun Aug 20 10:30:05 200 Nelson Lindo (cache2.echo-on.net) Great Site!
Mon Aug 21 04:09:02 200 Phillip Goode (gk-east-2.usps.gov) I enjoyed the DC III Drive, especially the people, new roads VA 647 and VA 678 and knowledge that Gear Heads are active and still pushing the "Sate of the Art", not just mechanically but electronically now.
Mon Aug 21 13:43:34 200 Les Macklin (webcache08b.cache.pol.co.uk)
Mon Aug 21 17:14:50 200 chyna (PPPa28-ResaleChicagoMetro3-3R7190.saturn.bbn.com) I LOVE YOUR WEB SITE
Tue Aug 22 12:23:31 200 David Vale (webcacheW09b.cache.pol.co.uk) Fellow JV supporters, ladies and gentlemen, why did I sell my MR2 a short while ago and buy er, well, an Escort rs1600i ? The owners club is ok but look forward to rejoining the MR2 fold as soon as I can either sell the rs or it rots to dust through no use in the garage. That reminds me, I must go and see if it is still in there, it was just before christmas, now which christmas was that? :-)
Tue Aug 22 17:54:24 200 A.J. Martin (spider-wg011.proxy.aol.com) I own a 91 MR2 for my first car and I think that it is the greatist car I have ever droven since my brothers camaro. I can race and win against his v-6 and also any v-8 truck. It is the fastest car I have ever rode in. It is black with black interior 5 speed manual.
Tue Aug 22 18:47:02 200 Brandon (spider-tf033.proxy.aol.com) Great site. Any ideas on what happend to the Pennsylvania imoc? Changed adresses but i dont know the new one?
Tue Aug 22 22:36:07 200 lowell massey (user-33qt1ml.dialup.mindspring.com) hey do you guys have a message board i am looking for a header for an 86 mr-2 4age engine
Wed Aug 23 09:48:48 200 Carson Loomis (spider-tk013.proxy.aol.com) Drive it everyday, and completly love it. Its a 93' MR2 Turbo in a teal color. The two problems I have are 1) keeping the keys hidden from my 18 year old son and on a more serious note 2) A small repair shop, when changing the pads, screwed up something in the brakes. I dont know what it is. Currently I'm on my third caliper for the passeenger side, and on the second caliper on the driver's side. The calipers will just get screwed up and wont release. This happens about every month. Toyota just keeps charging me bucket loads of money to fix an item that they can't fix. I have discovered a way to release them, A hammer and a block of wood, but this gets old. They've been cleaned, and repaired or replaced several times. I am starting to get frustrated. It usually happens after period of 15-20 minutes on the interstate. Besides the brakes, the car has just been pure bliss to own. One of my fondest memories is one night when a red Ford Probe was riding my tail. We hit a redlight o! n a country road. 1st gear, for the most part the Probe stayed with me, but when I hit 2nd gear with the sweet beautiful sound of the Turbo spinning, left that Probe in the dark. I never saw the probe again. One last thing, my son keeps encouriging me to run at a local 1/8th mile drag strip, and I think I'll do it. If any one knows a good way of lauching the car, please notify me. I rather not make a fool of myself.
Wed Aug 23 13:14:31 200 Erik Mannhardt (spider-wn051.proxy.aol.com) I own a 1986 silver MR2 and i must say that it is one of the best cars i have ever drove, ridden in, or owned. I also pick up lots of chicks with my fast, slick looking Toyota MR2. My ultimate dream is to own a 90's model though, they look hot! Thanx Toyota for fufilling my driving fantacy
Wed Aug 23 17:01:52 200 D.Gordon (24-216-12-15.hsacorp.net) I have a 91' MR2 Turbo and have made the following modifications: HKS turbo timer, VPC, EVC IV, Super sequential blowoff valve, K & N airfilter, Turbonetics T03/04 Hybrid turbo charger, Greddy exhaust and intercooler. My car has not been on the dyno yet but, I'm guessing that it's pushing around 300hp. My next step is to upgrade my fuel pump, ecu, swapping to 550cc injectors and new fuel rail. Where can I locate a dyno machine in Florida and also complete the additional modifications without having to sell the house.
Wed Aug 23 17:06:30 200 DGordon (24-216-12-15.hsacorp.net) I am shopping around for another MR2 and would like to know what is the email address to verify the VIN number.
Wed Aug 23 17:57:19 200 Luke Byrne (194.128.43.125) I baught a 85 white MR2 which I was saving for for months, two days after buying the car some arse hole ran into it and smashed all of the pasenger side and blew out the drivers front tyre. This is still to be sorted out by the blood sucking insurance company. I love my MR2 it has done 103000 miles and runs like a new en, the best car I have ever driven, my friends have thing like Golf GTI's, XR2I's and RS turbos (boaring) I much prefer the styling and charicter of the MR2. This web site is top and lots of thaught and effort put into it WELL DONE!
Thu Aug 24 12:07:10 200 edward te wierik (ipc379c13d.dial.wxs.nl) I have sold my aw11 from 85,and both a dutch dark green sw20 from 92 the car has a new engine!from 96 with only 50.000km. it's the TURBO from japan.with 225 horsepower!it's also have a turbo cap, bridgeston so-2 pole position tyres,t-bar and a great music instalation, the car has also bilstein dempers around!,and a sports wheel. it's totally different from the aw11,but the kick from the turbo is lovely. it's feeling different in many ways, just look at the speed and than you know how fast this turbo is! But a fact is a fact, the aw11 is still great in many ways,I will love them both!greetings edward te wierik from the netherlands

Sun Aug 27 19:40:55 200 Jamie Ernspiker (spider-tm074.proxy.aol.com) I have got a 1987 red MR2 with a rebuilt engine. I just got the car (8/28/00) and I am not sure when the engine was rebuilt. The odometer is showing 124,000. My dad owns a body shop here in Louisville, KY, but he doesn't know a lot about my MR2. If anyone could please email me and let me know things to look for as far as maintenance goes I would greatly appreciate it. I do know that my driver side door needs new pins and bushings, but other than that, this car is in great shape for the age. I have a 1999 Civic Si which will probably sit a lot now. My Si seems to run faster, but the nostalgic love of my MR2 makes up for that. I've been wanting one of these cars for years. Now that I am 20 I finally get one to baby to death. Should I put synthetic oil in it or don't bother? Please email me. zeldazonk81128@aol.com
Mon Aug 28 04:23:24 200 Paul Southern (cvx163-39.dccl.net) I've been driving MR2 MK1's for over 10 years now. In my opinion they are still the most beautiful looking (affordable) 2 seater sports car on the road! My '88 MR2 has today just clocked a staggering 250,000 miles - still original engine!
