I've had this site bookmarked for several years, but forgot about it...big mistake, I've been living with lousy front end alignment for months and needed advice for 1991 T. (Dealer kept setting it at -1.5 deg neg camber, insides of my tires are trashed) Independent shop set it per my shop manual, much better. Now shopping for tire advice...Thanx for the opportunity.

Hi I am 19 and purchased a MR2 In Oct 2000. It is white with a red interior 1989 w/170,000 miles. I absolutely adore this car. It was sort of a fluke that I found it, But have been so impressed with it. And it runs so well. Good old toyota quality.I've put 8,000 miles on this car and not a single problem yet. I love my MR2 so much that six months later I purchased an 1985 MR2. It is much more rough than my 89 but in time it will be as smooth as my first.The 85 is silver with blue stripes W/black and white interior. I think the 89 has a more simplified interior than the 85. The 85 may look a little more sporty on the inside but the 89 is more confortable to drive.

Beginning to look for a sports car to buy. I have owned several Triumphs, a Fiat X1/9, and a 911SC in past years. I would like to find a nimble, comfortable 2 seater capable of enjoyable driving while still being ok for a long road trip. The Porsche was very good, but a bit expensive to maintain. I like the convertible feature of the new MR2, but the styling is a bit strange, it has virtually no luggage space and the Seattle area dealers are learning from the Honda brothers and charging a large premium. I think I will keep my eyes on the used market. I have never been in an MR2, but from the looks of the car and what I am finding out about it, it seems close to what I am looking for. Does anyone have a good history of the reliability of the turbo model, and are their performance enhancements for the non-turbo engine?

Just a helpful hint for today. I saw some requests for toyota publications like owners manuals and shop manuals. Just call Toyota Publications at 800-622-2033 and get new ones. My 89 is still for sale in the classifieds and I am enjoying the 95 tremendously. Happy Motoring.

I've had my 91 MR2 for 2 years and I love it, but am seriously considering getting a Twin Turbo MR2 after my mate spanked my arse the other day in an M3!!! Was gutted to see how much faster his car was compared to mine. Made mine look very lame! Want to show him a good race and I think a Twin Turbo could do the job. Looking for help on fixing my headlights. My headlights will not go down at the same time and get stuck up sometime. This is sorta for the webmaster,but i noticed u had under what is an mr2 that the super charged mk1 was only produced from 1988-1989, well this is not so as i actually own a 1986 model; the first year toyota made the supercharged version.

I have had to rebuild my 86 mk1 MR2 after idiot in nova(boy racer type) run up my rear end and could not beleave the price of body panels some one out there has got to know where to get them cheeper i had to pay £390 per quarter panel I had thought of buying another to do up in spare time but not if can't find cheeper panels any one help
