Those old ass 80's mr2's are hella ugly, they make me gag, those retro ass robot looking seats with the crappy body. That mr2 just sux big ass.
I LOVE THE 1991-1994 models though.They are awesome

I work in sales(second career)for a large Toyota dealership in Virginia Beach.I recently purchased through the dealership an extremely well-maintained 1991 MR2 Turbo that had been traded in on a new Spyder.Because I had previously owned '85 and '89 models, I couldn't let the opportunity pass by and I definitely couldn't let it go to auction.With 123k miles,it still kicks ass! It is completely stock and in perfect condition with all original equipment but still will whip almost anything on the road. What an awesome machine!I only wish I had purchased it new.

As a long time Toyota driver, MR2s (Mk1 and Mk2, even Spyder) have always turned my head more than any sports car. My Paseo was recently totalled after being rear-ended. The next day an MR2 was advertised for sale by owner in my area. Needs minor body detailing, but the test drive was the greatest twenty minutes of heaven I have known. Needless to say, I am now the proud owner of a 1991 N/A MR2, dark blue (though looks green in certain light). I love this car. Don't believe it's mine; living a dream! Anyway, if I see you in yours (New England area drivers?) I will give a brotherly wave...

Hey guys whats up. I own a 94' MR2 N/A. it has everything i could find for it on the engine. It definately has over 300 Hp but i dont know the exact numbers cause ive never had it dynoed. but my best time is an 11.5 @ 119 mph. Now that is on slicks. its low 12's without em'. i can give you a parts list if you would like. seeing how no one ever seems to belive it can be done. It took me two months to find every engine mod i could on the 94 N/A MR2. and it cost me just over 4200 dollars. now just for the record. im not running any sort of turbo, nitrous oxide, or supercharger. this is all the motor and nothing else. i had the block blueprinted and balanced bringing the red line to 8200 rpm. and had the head ported and polished and had a 3 angle valve job done to the valves. new higher tension springs so the valves will stay in place at the higher rpm. and a full exhaust. i bought the exhaust off a guy on the internet so im not sure what type it is but it sounds awsome upon full !
throttle. my friends dad owns a machine shop and he did all the machining on the engine. he also fabricated a custom 4-1 header( non-emissions legal).now obviously this isnt the entire list of mods but i noticed this was getting kinda long. if you have any ?'s just email me and we"ll chat. peace out.

at colerain toyota in cincinnati ohio they sold me a "new" car that was wrecked and leased. spread the word they cheat their customers. bought car june 10, 2000 someone hit it in parking lot in 2/2001 took car to dealership bodyshop to be repaired estimator jokingly said "oh you have been here before" we said no we have not this is a new car, dealership will not make things right i did a carfax car also shows up as being leased also. voss toyota of dayton is also involved. please spread the word.

i love mr2's i bought an 85 triked it out a bit differently you could say i started of by giving it a candy apple 3 stage paint job and chroming too many parts to list it looked so exotic when i was done! as if thats not enough i put a hydraulic suspention on it and i could drive it on three wheels because of the mid engine set up! well i plan on buying more mr2's in the future but gear it towards racing instead.
