I own a 1991 black MR2 i shaved the door handls, lowered it 2 inches put front and rear sway bars, struts, shocks, tower braces top and bottom fromt to rear.

I own a white '89 Mr2 and i love it! I call it my matchbox car. People stop me all the time and tell me their Mr2 storiesone guy even talked about a tr-17 or something? that he said the mr2 was modeled after. well this site is really cool!!

Good job on the FAQ. I have an 86 MR2 that we love with 176000 miles on it-It is a great cheap car. I have had very little trouble with it and will keep it unitl it dies.

I just purchased my first MR2. A black 87 with 130k miles.
Am looking forward to it's cosmetic restoration. Needs paint and interior work.
The previous owner had just rebuilt the engine. Lucky me!

I have an 85 mr2 and it still works like new with all original equip. my problem is with another engine I have. its a 1983 Nissan diesel 4 cyl. and I'm trying to build a small truck using the engine but I need some sort manuel or spects chart for the engine and i'm having trouble finding one. if anyone knows of a good web site please email me.

I own a red 1991 MR2 mk2. Almost all stock and naturally asperated. I've had it for about a year and a half. I had to put a new camery engine in it to replace the original that i sort of blew up. I would like any info about what people have done to improve performance on their cars and what works and what doesn't.

i am 17. i have been interested in the mr2 since my dad bought me a sports car book like 7 years ago that had the mr2 in it. i read about it but never knew i would buy one. i just bought an 89 mki with every option including t tops and leather from my dads best friends wife- one owner since new-all records there! it is in brand new excellent shape- i just had it painted red again and changed the factory alloys for the factory aluminum honey comb like wheels i found, i put a nice cd player in it and i put a chrome tip on the exhaust. i havent done any mods to the 4a-ge yet- i plan to soon. i love this car though- it is rare only 2537 were sold in the us and canada in 89, and no one around me has one!! i love to drive it and i love the looks, all my friends love it. i have 3 cars previous to this one including a souped up 88 mustang gt which did the quarter in 13 at about 125, and this is my favorite even over the mustang because of how fun, reliable, and economic i!
t is and plus it has some umph on that 1.6 4a-ge-i just love it!! man i love toyota engineering. i was also hoping to get on your mailing list and curious if u could send any info on any mr2 models mostly in particular mine that u might send out normally- i have no questions yet- i have read everything i can think of to read and have become quite satisfied in my mr2 education. maybe i will have some questions in the future. thanks ofr all your helpful site stuff it has helped me fall in love with my mr2 even more and realize what a gem i have!

yet not many people no the potential of this light "pocket-rocket"
as what people calls it.in my own words i call it "kick a**" car.
i owne a 91 mr2 turbo 5speed. i have put a body-kit to it and painted
it yellow,upgraded the turbo chip, greddy turbo indicator,intake,
exhaust,and pushing about 75shot of nos. from the outside it looks
stock but when i take it to races.then its a totally different
aspect. for all you mr2 owners out there dont be affraid of these
muscle cars with carbs.nor these civics with these loud a**
mufflerswith 2.0, rear wheel, light as hell,and a engine that
can open a can of "whoop-a**" you own the road, the other drivers
dont know it yet.lolz. well i hope everyone here finds that
same hype as i did with my mr2and god speed!!!!!!!!
