It's basic...no Superchargers or Twin-Entry Turbochargers or fancy
electronic gizmos. Just 90% natural, 250% blast! Sure, its got a Jacobs
Electronics Ignition, Tokico 5-point externally adjustable struts and a
tenacious ferocity, but hey, who's counting gizmos? When its an MR2, it
needs nothing but a driver who appreciates finesse with performance. Of
course, you all realize we've been betrayed by Toyota. Right now, this
instant, Japan is snickering at us and our sudden MR2-famine. I SAW the
'96 MR2 Turbo...gods, people, we've been taken for a ride in a Mercury!
Whatever you do, DON'T look to see it! Your shifting-hand will twitch until
your wrist breaks! Your lead foot will melt! And you will curse the EPA
AND the Government as you feast your eyes on the most beautiful, purest
rendition of MR2-dom yet.
     The 1996 MR2 Turbo.
And I thought you couldn't make it better. Well, they can...and they
DID! Without American guinea-pigs to 'test-drive'.
I feel cheated. Ah, but my fine 1986 MR2 is a specimen worthy of any
magazine, center-fold even! I have devoted hours and hours to its immaculate
condition...and continue to better its performance AND appearence. May we
all keep that four-wheeled bundle of ambition rightly-named the MR2 close
to our hearts AND the 7000-rpm+ redline!
