1990 T-Top Turbo (Japanese GT model) Production date 3/90.
Speedo said 38,000km when I purchased it but being a second hand Import it's
more likely to be 138,000.
Mods Done in Japan:
16 x 8 rims fitted Yokohama AVS tyres (225/45 front and 245/45 rear)
FGK exhaust system with 2-1/2 inch header pipes and 3 inch tips.
HKS Power Flow Filter.
Mods done by me:
Koni Externally adjustable strut cartridges re-valved with for stiffer damping.
Adjustable ride height spring platforms fitted with progressive rate race
Springs.
I also have a 1994 GT-S model with traction control purchased as a wreck ex
Japan, with 5000kms on the clock.
I have installed the following parts from it.
Engine & gearbox.
Traction control and ABS system.
Complete wiring loom, this was necessary to be able to run the traction control
system,also the speedo is electronic.
Brakes
Rear subframe and suspension arms.
Gear shift.
In other words everything except the body shell and seats and anything forward of the front wheels.
Planned Mods:
Motec ECU.
17" Rims (I have already fitted them to the front, and will change the rears
when the tyres wear out)
Willwood Brakes.
Strut Tower Braces.
Suspension Techniques Anti Roll bars.
Veilside Aero Kit.
I also plan to build the wreck into a race car when I can find the time to
build a space frame front end for it, as it was rather badly bent when I got it.
