I love my MR2, but I'm having serious clutch probs.  4 (yes four) clutches in 
4 years and 47k miles (and I live in flat country!).  I DO NOT RIDE my clutch.  
I'd really like to know if anyone else has experienced the same failure rate.  
I've only (stupidly) paid for one of the three replacement clutches and each 
time the dealer says they've found linkage out of adjustment or something else, 
but I no longer trust the car.  If anyone knows anything about this problem 
and can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have always admitted to using the clutch as a break (downshifting habitually) 
and have always been assured this can't be the cause.  Anyone, anything???
