Great little car. Fun to drive with t-tops on or off. I have swapped the 15" wheels & tires for 17"X7.5" with 35 mm offset, ASA chrome 5-spoke wheels. The largest tires which cleared on the front were 215X40X17 NITTO 501. In order to maintain the original front to back ride height I went with 235X40X17 NITTO on the rear. No change in speedo reading, for the same RPM. There is a bunch more room for bigger tires in the back, 290 mm would "probably" fit. I also installed an Amsoil foam air filter in place of the pleated paper OEM. Thinking about installing the "clear" front-corner lenses in place of the yellow. Trips from Phoenix to Flagstaff have netted 34 mpg on a tank of low-lead, 26-28 mpg in town.
