I bought it in 1986 with 5k miles and have kept it stock except for the stereo and TRD exhaust. I put a new clutch in, a fuel pump and at about 145,000 miles and had to put in a new (used) computer. Other than these three things it's all been routine maintenance. In the future I would like to upgrade the suspension and I'm also researching installing a 4A-GZE (supercharged) engine at some point. The MR2 has been a fun, reliable little car.
