I purchased my MR2 as new on my 25. birthday. The car was assembled in august
1986, and is one of the first mk1 rev2. When it came to Norway it was not
sold to me until 20. November 1987, And I registered it 10. march 1988
(my 25. birhtday), so the car was nearly 18 months when it got its licence
plates for the first time, and 30km on the tach.
This is by the way my 2. MR2. My first was purchased 20. december 1985, it was
also white, but I had an accident with it :-(, so I purchased a new one. The
price on the car in 1987 was Nok 225.000,- (approx $30.000,- yes cars are
expensive in Norway :-(
I have used my car a bit on the race track too. I have international speed
licence (Formula Ford, etc).
I actually took my licence with my MR2, back in 1989.
I am using Castrol RS 10w60 motor oil (change oil and filter at every 5.000km)
and Castrol SMX-S trans. oil

Dynotest shows 23hp more than original (total 147hp). My best o-100km/h is
7.15s. Othervise the car is in original shape. The paint is in very good condition,
and the decals are also in excellent shape.
