Performance Modifications:
1/ All stainless steel Japanese 2 3/4" cat-back mandrel-bent
exhaust and dummy catalytic converter. Imitation stainless HKS
mini-drager 4 1/4" tip, straight edge, angle-cut
-> Brand: Exhaust Systems Technologies (ES) ordered from Options Auto Salon
2/ RS Akimoto Intake with funnel ram II filter replaces stock air box
3/ 12" radiator fan attached to bottom of stock intercooler draws cool
air from top vents through to bottom of car. Fan is only active from idle
to ~50km/hour
4/ MSD 6A ignition amplifier and tach adapter supplies extra spark
5/ HKS pulley upgrade for supercharger
6/ 1993 MR2 TURBO Nippondensso platinum plugs
7/ C's short shift kit (makes shifter feel a little notchier and sporty)
8/ 16" X 6.5" OZ Corsa wheels for street shod with 205/45/16 Toyo Proxes FZ4
all-season performance radials, stock 14"ers for the drag strip
9/ Suspension Techniques lowering springs improve cornering capabilities
10/ Clear front bumper turn signals and complete body colour exterior trim
(you have to see the pictures: it looks really trick)
11/ On race day, driver's side triangular body trim panel adjacent to engine bay
lid is replaced with ram air scoop to feed cool air to intercooler and akimoto
intake (wish I could show you - awaiting software for scanner to work)
12/ Momo Top Power steering wheel, Momo Shadow shift knob, and Razo titanium series
pedals spice up the interior
13/ Python system 70 Alarm with 4 DEI sirens and 2 Auxilliary battery backup sirens
- Glass, Doors, Trunks, Perimeter, Fuel Cut, Shock, Ignition kill, Battery
backup capable of supplying enough juice for 48 hours of continuous noise (boy
is it ever irritating!)
14/ Self-designed and Fabricated headlight conversion set. Lexan / acrylic
composition (looks like current 300ZX style or 3rd generation RX7
conversions) Light is supplied by one PIAA 1000 and one
high-intensity-discharge (HID) PIAA fixture on each side (both light housings are
body-coloured)
15/ HKS turbo timer cools down the engine after runs (rev limit has been increased to
8,500 RPM thanks to computer reprogramming)
16/ Stereo upgraded to Pioneer double-din (1992 model) feeding one Orion
2150 GX and Cobalt 230 amplifier into two pioneer 8"ers and MB Quart 4" mids
and 3/4" tweets (stock rears used for surround sound channel)
For all of those number freaks, my car is not as fast as I thought it would
be:
1/4 mile times are low 15's to high 14's in full street trim
mid to high 14's in race mode (200+ lbs shaved off of street weight)
Still awaiting dyno information.
