A captsule of my personal and work background: I am a true sports
driving enthusiest about 50 years old going on 35. I live in Seattle
now employed in the position of V.P. Engineering for a company dealing
in a specialized tooling design sector which encompasses both the
aerospace and automotive industries. Originally from Detroit, I have
owned 7 Corvettes over the years and driven SCCA Solo and many many
autocrosses. I didn't like the rattles but did get spoiled by the
torque a bit. Also drove Mini Stocks on circles in Florida for a couple
of years. I purchased a new 1991 MR-2 Turbo with all options except
leather and ABS and currently have a bit over 40,000 miles on it. Having just
recently found the MR-2 page I feel like a kid in a candy store. I have
casually been looking for information on upgrades for the last year or
so and have particular interest in increasing engine output. I am not
particularily pleased with the HKS big Turbo method due to its low end
trade off. Any information regarding successful modifications in the
bore and stroke department yielding another 50 to 75 lb.ft. of torque and
about equal horsepower would be greatly appreciated. Any more info on a
twin turbo setup?
