My MR2 has been driven hard but still puts up with it. With the amount of
kilometers that are on the car I am surprised that I only have a small oil leak
From the front main seal. Rusty as hell though....well just the back fenders
are rusted right through. Someday it will be fixed as is desrerving of this
great car. I have to store the car in the winter because it doesn't run too
well and the speedometer cable acts up. I must say that the car is absolutely
wonderful to drive, and I am surprised that my six and a half foot tall friend
can fit with no problems in the driver seat. Only modification that I have
been able to afford is a steering wheel from a 91. This car makes me look
forward to when I can find a reason to drive somewhere. It also makes me dread
the day that I have to store it for the winter. I long for the days of spring
already. I would love to option up to a 89 SC as trying to add performance mods
to my tired old girl sounds expensive. I'll keep her the way she is and sell her to someone who wants an inexpensive sample of a great car. But not until
I get one to replace this one. I don't think I could live without having an MR2. At least I'll know that I can get close to 300k Km out of it before I have to find another one.
