I bought my 1987 T-Bar, naturally aspirated MR2 about 2 years ago.  I had an 
Infiniti G20 that I decided to sell and buy a less expensive car.  However, 
I was not about to let my Infiniti go without getting something that was at 
least as much fun.  The MR2 was at the top of the list (a list of about 3 
cars only.)  I bought my '87 with 95,000 miles on it.  It is in pretty good 
shape -- body and interior are very nice, although it has had lots of body 
work.  It is mostly stock except for stereo and some leather trim on the 
interior I did myself.  I plan to slowly upgrade the brakes and suspension or 
buy one with lower miles.  Even so, the car is absolutely fantastic.  It has 
never stranded me and is incredibly fun.  Too bad Toyota doesn't make them 
anymore.
