I bought the Car on 29/09/96. I've wanted one since I first saw one 14 years ago. I thought I would never own one because insurance is a joke over here.

After getting quotes of over £3000 I finally got one for £1962. This year it has gone down to £1550, probably becuase I am now 25 and have a year no claims. I only had one problem with the car not starting in the cold. Turned out to be the battery even though when the mechanics checked it, it was fine. Replaced it with a new one and had no problems since. The previous owner had a great Dane dog which always jumped on the bonnet and scratched it, he eate the right indicator and chewed the mudflaps, all of which I had to replace.

I then decided to replace all the shocks and this has improved handling by 1000%. A friend of mine who works for a car importer found two MR2 car mats in a 2nd hand imported Mark II MR2 so he apprehended them and gave them to me. They fit perfectly in a Mark I.
