Bought this car new in Nov 91. Have had no trouble except for having to
replace the front end metal after my wife parked my MR2 UNDER a Chevy
Corsica. Paint is faded and I have a shimmy in the steering wheel which will
probably go away after I install new struts. Have done absolutely nothing to
the engine except oil changes (Mobile 1 10W30) every 5k miles and coolant
every 2 years. I definitely need to replace timing belt before it decides to let go.
This is one tough car. I have driven this car fairly hard over the past 5 years
and it just keeps asking for more. I have now retired it to be driven only 2-3
times per month and plan on doing a complete restoration on it over the next
year. Other hobbies include flying - single engine and gliders, and hope to
start construction on a VANS RV6 experimental aircraft next year.
