Singapore citizen by birth, I spent about 4 years in Canada pursuing a university
degree in Alberta - that's where my love for MR2s started. I am an avid automobile
fan with a special interest for anything sporty, a nice long road and a chance to
take the wheel! I/m not really into racing or going really fast, but the fact that
I can with little ease impresses me. Having returned to Singapore in 1993 and
secured a decent job, I set out in search of my dream machine. However, there are
only about 15 or so MR2s in Singapore (being a tiny dot on a world map and having
3 million people, car ownership is greatly discouraged by high taxes). So the
thought of paying good money (and I mean good) for a car that will only take 2
is unthinkable for most. I paid S$70,000 for mine. I,m the third owner and have
really no intentions of parting with it anytime soon. Service from Toyota agents
here have been very poor as a result of their lack of numbers. As such, I,m glad
to have a network of advisors!
