Huge catalog of *many*, *MANY* models, books and videos relating to cars
and racing. Lists five MR2 plastic and metal models ranging in price from

The quality of the above model is not great but it is fairly
detailed. The only thing about this model is that the plastic
wheels don't fit the model correctly, they are *way* to big to
boot. Nothing opens on this model, and the dash is totally wrong!
There is also 2-3 times the normal space behind the seats!
It's a MarkII with a t-roof (panels are out)
The bottom of the car says "Made in China" :-) However, the box it
came in gives: AR-GEE Hobby Collection Ltd., P.O.B. 11 - EPE Holland
as the maker.

This model is pictured in the above catalog. It looks highly
detailed and accurate. It is mounted on a black plaque with the
make (Marsh Models) in white letters on one corner. This is a
left hand drive MkII with a sun roof. Looking at the picture, I
could swear that they have a wiper blade and arm mounted at the
base of the rear spoiler that looks like it would wipe the trunk
deck!!! Weird! Other than this, it looks *nice* (Better be for
$129!)

This model is a MkI and possibly an early prototype of it. The
trunk and engine deck open. The head lights pop up via a push button
on the bottom of the car (the front trunk opens this way too). Both
doors open as well. There are the words "Toyota" on the front hood
and frnt license plate. The rear plate says "SV3".
The model is made in Japan and the maker is Tomica (Tomy) The label
on the bottom of the car says "Toyota SV-3".
The box is mostly in Japanese, however, I've listed the statistics
listed on the bottom (question marks are Japanese characters)

Here's the short version, of what's in the manual:

1. Model Line-Up - US-spec 5-speed coupe turbo discontinued. US-spec
available in 5-speed t-top turbo, 5-speed t-top/coupe NA, and auto coupe
NA. Canada-spec models discontinued.
2. Exterior Equipment - rear design of the combination lights has been
changed, rear spoiler has been changed to a one piece design.
3. Interior Equipment - steering wheel design has been changed, automatic
transaxle shift lock override button has been covered by a cap to conform
to the FMVSS 114 standard.
4. 5S-FE Engine - recommended engine oil grade has been changed, engine
control system has ben changed to conform to OBD-I requirements.
5. 3S-GTE Engine - recommended engine oil grade has been changed, engine
control system has ben changed to conform to OBD-I requirements.
6. Suspension - wheel alignment and the components have been modified to
further enhance driving stability and ensure riding comfort.
7. Eletro-Hydraulic Power Steering - two system controls have been added to
furthur provide the power steering assist characteristics suited to the
driving conditions, the diagnositc function has been modified
8. Cruise Control System - to enhance ease of operation and servicing, the
manual cancel function in the automatic transaxle models, the auto cancel
function and the diagnosis function have been changed.
9. SRS Airbag - in addition to the conventional SRS airbag for the driver
located in the steering wheel pad, the new model offers a passenger SRS
airbag located in the instrument panel above the glove box.
10. Air Conditioning System - a new air conditioning system which uses
R-134a regrigerent has been adopted.

available. The price is around 422 Br.P. Interesting I was told they have two
models for the MR2. A large one (for the E153 transaxle) and a smaller one which
