Congratulations to Newbiewan - MR2Board's October 2006 Showcase MR2!
1991 TRD Supercharged V6 Toyota MR2

Again, due to the passing of a close friend, we bring this month's Showcase car a couple days late.

Not often will you see a more or less completely stock bodied MKII MR2 gracing the MR2 Showcase page, but not often do you see a MR2 such as Newbiewan's 1991 TRD Supercharged V6 MR2.

Undeniably the source of the most buzz in the community as of late, transplanting a torquey Toyota V6 into the capable midengined platform of the MR2 has likely at least crossed everyones' minds. Not many have been lucky enough to do as wonderful a job as Newbiewan. The 2001 1MZ-FE engine sourced from a 2001 Camry, topped with Toyota Racing Development's supercharger appears at home in the engine bay of the MR2, looking as if it rolled off the factory line equipped that way.

Mike's modlist is quite extensive, and can be seen by visiting his MR2Board Member Garage, but there is no better way to sum up a thousand words than the dynograph below.
