Now I am just trying to fix the bugs. I just rebuilt a 4agze motor with some mods: (HKS 264-8.1 cams, hks valve springs, underdrive pulley kit, aluminum flywheel, venom 10% more fuel pump and injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator). I am pushing about 45 psi fuel pressure.
The car starts up without a problem but I cant get it to stop idling rough. It fast idles at 2000, then jumps repeatedly from 2000 to 2500. It sounds like I could have an air bubble in my coolant system but b4 I jump to that I was wondering if anything else could cause that.
My ECU is throwing the "51" diagnostic code which points to the AC system (I removed mine), idle switch, and the Throttle position sensor. My other mod is an RX7 throttle body (bigger), I had to do some mods to get the piping right. It has the adjuster screw on the AFM. Maybe my problem lies there.
