I have heard between $1200 and $1800 for a basic turbo setup that you piece together yourself. Basically picking up parts a little at a time, waiting for the right price for a part and stuff.
This price though is with stock parts from a 3S-GTE engine. the turbo and MSD controller being the biggest part of that money.
