1986 mint with a blown crank

Hey folks,
I live in Conroe, TX and I just bought a mint 86 with a blown crank. I rebuilt an 86 ingine about 10 years ago and made a crucial error. I installed the exhust gasket upside down and the leaking gasses caught fire and the engine burned beyond rebuild. I ended up up giving away the unit.
Lesson # 1 obvious
Lesson # 2 always carry a fire extingusher on the first few test runs.
I am looking forward to doing this again. I will probably do an engine swap. the exact engine and rebuild the one I have with some HP stuff on it like cams.

I love the MR2 I have owned neary 25 toyotas since my first corrola in 88.

I am open to any suggestions. I want to do the swap without and electrical gymnastics or fabrications. I would love to put a trubo or s/c version but I am leaning twards the NA swap. exact same engine.

Who should buy the JDM engine from?
