Lesson # 1 obvious
Lesson # 2 always carry a fire extingusher on the first few test runs.
I am looking forward to doing this again. I will probably do an engine swap. the exact engine and rebuild the one I have with some HP stuff on it like cams.

I love the MR2 I have owned neary 25 toyotas since my first corrola in 88.

I am open to any suggestions. I want to do the swap without and electrical gymnastics or fabrications. I would love to put a trubo or s/c version but I am leaning twards the NA swap. exact same engine.

Who should buy the JDM engine from?
i'm confused.... you posted this once already and you didn't respond in the other thread....

how is it that your exhaust gaskets caused the fire when..... the manifold gasket WON'T go on "backwards" (it literally will only fit on 1 way) and the flange gaskets aren't directional.... meaning they can go either direction (same as the cat gaskets too).....

something else caused the fire.....
