so I recently bought an '87 NA... the guy I bought it from had the tranny replaced less than a year ago, and he's reasonably confident that the replacement came out of an SC parts car. wouldn't surprise me whatsoever if the guy was wrong, but that's what he says. my question is whether or not there are any differences in the gearboxes. seems like I might have read somewhere that the SC is geared longer, might actually improve gas mileage at freeway speeds. anyway, just curious if anyone knows the truth on this.
