I had a Blitz DD on my WRX for a week or two, and it didn't run proper. I researched it and knew what it was, but it wasn't worth it to put the stock one back on for a week or two. Loved the sound but realized I'd spent $75 on something completely aesthetic when I could have bought something else. I sold it for $150 on craigslist, made a buck, and had my fun with it. IMHO, it was worth it.

So if you're going to buy one, buy it cheap, buy it used, and keep your stocker around. Its fun and worth it for awhile, but you may find one day that its not as fun as a little more driveability. In any case, its not a huge difference.
