eBay Feedback Profile for makoto_autoparts
After reading there feedback, they seem ok, but a few complaints about there shipping/packaging. One person had bought a engine that leaked oil..... |

They consistently sell 20v's for $350+ shipping. I would imagine that you'd be getting a cut 20v harness (great if you plan on using my service).
I'd try and get a picture of what's under the oil cap before they send it to you. That goes for any ebay motor. If it's sludgy black, then you probably don't want it. |

I called the number listed and inquired about this as i do plan on using your services. He told me it does not even have a mutilated harness on it. still thinking i might try one out, but not too sure.....

You might try looking around at importers local to you. That way you avoid paying shipping, and actually see the motor before you buy.
You can likely find a local silvertop for around the $550 you'd pay after shipping. Here in Atlanta, my importer sells 20v engine and tranny for $650. That's real strange that they would take the cut harness off the engine? Those typically aren't worth anything to anybody....except me. |

thats exactly what i thought! not going to try these guys, no ecu, harness, or tranny. i have seen all of the above for not much more than the 550.

They're probably ok to do business with, its just that you can probably find something local for the same price, and be able to look under the valvecover before you hand over the money. If the motor turns out doa, you have some recourse as well.
Silvertops are easy to find, just check your local importers. |

Does anyone know of any local importers in the central Texas area. I'm about an hr away from Austin. I'll take either a BT or ST, honestly I can't decide between the two. If I go with the ST it will be with the BT ecu.

JHOT Imports
I've read good reports about this company on various web sites. I should have more information in a week or two. |
