20v centrifugal supercharger potential

Here is a clip of a 20v powered kit car on a rotrex supercharger:

Completely stock motor. Still 10.5:1 compression. Aftermarket ecu of course.

They also did a run at 7psi, and made 225hp.

The guy who owns the car in the video is considering manufacturing a bracket that would bolt right on to silvertops or blacktops.

mr220v has started to make harness adapters for harnesses he has already made (probably a decent proportion of 20v owners) that will connect to aftermarket ECUs. If someone can provide a base fuel/spark map, most of the electronics work will be done.

Other than that, the rotrex supercharger and intercooler can be purchased seperately, and the plumbing would be relatively simple, especially after it had been done once so everyone else would have pictures for reference.

The project doesn't seem impossible by any means. Expensive for sure, but not a bad way to make 3sgte levels of power.

I can't wait to see the first rotrex 20v mr2.

Man, I looked up Rotrex. They have some nice stuff, but dang if you wanted to put the c30-74 on your mr2 your looking at $2100 for just the SC it self, not including intercoolers, and building all of your plumbing. If you were to do this I can't see you doing it for less than $3,000.

Even still I'm really tempted, I just need the 20V first.

Yeah, not real cheap. Of course it doesn't seems like 200hp+ in a mk1 ever is.

The exchange rate is bad right now. These are made in Europe so it would cost more just because of that.

Anyway, there was a cheap turbocharger manifold on ebay for $120. Looked like it would clear the firewall:
