Extra parts from a silvertop Swap set
I've got some extra parts from my ST Swap set. All I actually needed was the short block, but all I could find in my area was a full swap set. I've gotten rid of the Tranny, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate and used the new head, ITBs etc. to make the FI build (I haven't decided on super or turbo yet) on the old engine simpler. That means, I still have a power steering pump, A/C compressor, exhaust manifold and uncut harness to get rid of.
I haven't decided for sure whether I'll sell the manifold and/or harness or keep them to simplify the FI engine installation. I spoke with the shop I got my set from and they said they usually just throw the P/S pump and A/C compressor in the garbage, but I don't want to do that, so does anyone know what other vehicles might use the same parts that were available in Canada? Thanks! Ben Oh yeah, I'm not being cheap, I just don't want to see perfectly good parts go to the dump. I'll probably let them all go for next to nothing just to get rid of them. Sorry I've been gone so long... I've been working a lot.
E T Haggis: Yes. I did get rid of the tranny. Eventually. Getting it across the border was a nightmare... Steve AW11: I'll probably sell the 'vacuum thingy' to you. I'll get a photo tomorrow to confirm it's the right part. Hope you're not in much of a hurry. Everything is outside at the moment and it looks like we're headed back into the deep freeze. I'm too much of a wuss to work outside in -20C or colder weather. It'll have to wait until it warms up some. I'll know how much when I know exactly what you're after (or how long it'll take). |

Good. I wasn't looking forward to working on it anytime soon. I REALLY need to figure out some way to get it into my basement suite...
I do have the cover. Where are you? I'm thinking $5+postage. I don't have any of the bolts for it though... I wasn't thinking and tossed all the bolts left over after the changeover. Maybe have a look at these? MR2 Owners Club Message Board™ |

Actually I don't. I broke the new one during the install (pry-bar slipped trying to line up the motor mount and bashed it BUT GOOD), so I've got the old one on the new engine. I'll be looking for one eventually myself...

I do, but I'm going to hang on to it for the time being - until I know for sure that I won't need it.
