I don't think he has a torque converter, but taking the transmission off meets a bit of resistance usually.
I usually take a prybar, and split the two in one place just slightly. I then move to the other side of the motor, and do the same. I go back and forth a few times, and that gets it without forcing anything. You should not have to force anything tremendously hard. If you do, there's probably something still holding on. |

That is true, to crack it a bit and get your prybar in there can require a hammer sometimes.
Living up north, you probably have to know all kinds of tricks for breaking rusty stuff loose. |

Well.. I'm using cave men tools so I'm gonna let it sit for a while. Right now I"m trying to take off the 16V trans. Gotta practice cause I don't want to break anything important. I'm a self proclaimed mechanical retard. Right now i'm working on taking of the Intake manifold so that I can get to some stuff that is still holding the trans to the motor. *But first I have to saw off my bpipe. Cause it is in my way.*
