Camshafts for a Silvertop
What kind of power increase would I get with these camshafts from Toda Racing? I'm mostly talking about a silvertops. Input about blacktops is welcome as well.

It really depends on what else you have to go with it. With cams in a 20v you may as well go all out with the programmable EMS so it can squeeze the most power out of the engine. Usually you will lose the VVT usability if you go aftermarket cams in the 20v though. So it is really a tradeoff.

If the starting point is a silvertop, just upgrading to a blacktop would be more cost effective. You can probably get most of the gains with a blacktop that you otherwise would with a silvertop with cams.
Those belfab rods for the 7afe are what I would do first. The 20v needs additional displacement more than the ability to rev. Plus, you would most likely not need any aftermarket tuning for the additional displacement. |
