Hooking up the clutch cable... missing a part?
so I've got the clutch cable attached to the trasmission where it swivels left and right. but I don't know what part to attach to the swivel, to actually place the car in neutral when I press in the clutch. can someone post a pic? and do I use the 20v swival thingy, or the aw11?

On an 89 the clutch is hydraulic, and only the shifter has cables, (except for speedometer and throttle). I used the original 16v clutch slave cylinder and brackets and the original shifter cables and brackets and it all lined up with my Black top.
Good luck, 20v swaps are not for the faint of heart! |

Yep. the brackets should line up. I just don't know what Brackets I'm missing. I've got 2 1/2 mr2's sitting in my driveway and no idea which part i'm missing. I have the part that physically attaches to the cable. I even figured out i'm supposed to use the old one. However. I don't know what it attaches to.
Basically there are 2 metal brackets. One attaches to the transmission. one attaches to the cable. They both attach to each other. I know which one attaches to the cable. I need to know what attaches to the transmission. and i'd like a picture of it.... |
