Still having issues. Please help..
Sorry about all of the posts lately. Big thanks to everyone who has helped me so far. (or else I'd never be able to do this swap) Here is where I"m stuck now.
20v ST swap with BT electronics. NO AC Picture 1. "2 wire white plug" I'm not sure if this is the plug MR220V was talking about that is used for the engine fan, if it is. pls tell me so I can stop worrying about it. Picture 2. "Bolt Wire" One of these is on both motors. I don't know what it plugs into or if I need it. Picture 3. "clutch line" I am missing a part (I think) to hook up my clutch line properly. I was wondering if any of you fine gents could take a picture of the part I need, or explain to me how to hook this up correcty. its my assumption that the cable I have running to that triangle piece needs to end up connecting to the Black piece that moves back and forward. What am I missing? Picture 4. "where does this hose go" um... pretty self explanitory. Where does this hose go? I think its an air hose. it is connected to a box with white plugs. Picture 5. "two wire Black plug" I have no idea where this goes. Continued with more attachments |

Picture 6. "What is this thing." I thought this was the VVT, but now I'm not sure. I also have no idea where it goes.
Picture 7. "is this a gasline" I believe this is a gasline, I can't figure out where it plugs into. It looks like it comes all the way from the fuel filter, around the front of the motor, and plugs in.... somewhere? where would that be. also, where would I plug in the other gasline. I'm sorry for all of the questions, and for monopolizing the 20v thread. I don't mean to do it. Thanks again for all the help. and a big thanks to MR220V for all the replys. |

#1 is either the "Engine Temp Sensor" that activates the fan when the engine temp reaches a certain temp, or it plugs directly to the circle plug coming off of the fan.
#2 I'm not too sure where this one goes, I didn't find a place to put it. Although it's running awesome without it so far. It's some kind of ground wire. I'll ask Doug about it tomorrow. #3 First off, those are your shift cables, not your "clutch cable". I'll snap a shot of mine tomorrow so you can see what they're supposed to look like. #4 It's hard to figure out where that goes from and to, take some better shots so I can help. #5 Looks like the Intake Air Temp sensor plug to me. #6 Is definitely the OČ Sensor plug. #7 That goes on your fuel rail, it's the fuel line. Follow the stainless line in this pic, it goes from the fuel filter to the fuel rail. ![]() |

Thanks for the quick reply. WHere does the Intake air temp plug go? I'll get some pics up after I look at allhyour hoses. I may be able to figure it out using your pictures.
1.= has to be the temp sensor. I'll disregard it. 3. Thanks. I appriciate it. quite confused. 6. where does that plug in? do I need to order a O2 sensor from ebay? Last edited by kazin1111; 07-25-2008 at 11:50 PM. |

#1 actually, it should be two blue / some color wires coming out of that plug
#3 i'll have those up in the morning #6 yeah, but a factory O2 sensor is expensive, didn't he provide u with 4 wires that were not stripped coming out of that plug? If not, yes you'll need a 4 wire toyota O2 sensor |

Your intake temp (well at least mine) is plugged in after my pod filter. i just screwed it into my intake pipe. As for the O2, i dont have a part no. but the one that the mechanic put on my car was a 4 wire bosch item.

"I can wire for whatever o2 you want, but my default o2 is one from a 96 chevy camaro. It's 4wire, and it's cheap." - Doug
IAT is the sensor I circled in Red in this picture. Where you put it doesn't matter as long as its somewhat near the throttle bodies. ![]() A "Pod Filter" is a filter they use on motorcycles for ITBs or Carbs. |

Wow I suck. a pod filter is just a washable air filter.... yeah. I've had like 8 of those. In fact I ordered 4 "blox filters for 20v" and wound up with six inch by three inch cone filters... Not exactly gonna fit my ITB's very easy. Thanks everyone for all the help.
as far as the O2 Sensor is this it? eBay Motors: 96 - 02 Camaro Z28 SS O2 Oxygen Sensor NEW AC-Delco (item 380015291863 end time Aug-05-08 05:12:50 PDT) Last edited by kazin1111; 07-26-2008 at 08:42 AM. |

Sensor from picture 1 can be put anywhere under the hood, preferebly near the engine though. Im not sure about the O2 sensor, I'll ask Doug how to wire that in.

So any news on this Dr fastrax203? can you show me your transmission cable setup? I looked at a stock mr2 today, and when he pushed the clutch, I clearly saw a cable moving. so weather it is powered by a hydrolics or not. I believe I need to plug in that second cable... I'm bidding on an IAT. I'm gonna finish up the driveshafts tonight.

![]() Red circle is the throwout bearing fork, this is where your clutch slave cyl pushes to disengage the clutch. It's hydraulic btw. Yellow circle is one of the forward/back or left/right shift cables, its attached to one of the correct mounting places for it. Blue circle is another one of the shift cable mounts (it's actually below where I circled). |

^The best thing to do here is to bolt your cable extension on where the terminal currently is.
