That's an interesting subject. I know there used to be a 4A-GTE powered Carina in Finland running 10s on stock cams, so it can work. There are so many people who cry bloody murder at the thought of putting bigger cams in a turbo engine, but there are a handful of people who do it and always seem to make obscene amounts of power...

I'm using Web 577 cams in my car and you've seen/heard how it runs. Idle is best kept above 1200 RPM and driveability below 2100 is not great. Past 2500 RPM it drives as smooth as a stocker. It's on stock valve springs and shim-over buckets with no problems yet. Stouter springs might not be a bad idea though.

If I ever make the jump to bigger cams, you can try mine...
