Gimp-o's got it right.. the tie rod is close, but not touching the y-pipe in that photo. I have not noticed any y-pipe / crossmember contact during driving so far. It's hugging it tightly, but definitely not going anywhere.

No problems with ground clearance either. the y-pipe crosses under the crossmember, which is centered between the rear wheels, so it'd have to be a very strange and horribly uneven road surface to get it to scrape (or I'd have to drive head-on over a big speed bump, haha).
