I did not need any electronics from the auto shifter or auto transmission. I posted my wiring info in the thread by TomsMR2
here. Basically, run 2 wires from the clutch safety switch to the auto shifter switch, and 2 wires from the reverse light switch on the manual transmission to the auto shifter switch.
The only thing I haven't done yet is allow the clutch to disable cruise control.
