I think they are cheap, under 20 bucks. It's worth it if you work on a car at all. Most places like checker, autozone, etc. have ones for rent. Basically you purchase the tiem, then return it when you use it for the full amount you spent on it.
I'd recommend Koni yellow struts (Koni sport struts I believe is their official name) with some TRD springs. Should make for an agressive look and good handling, all while not making it a shitty ride, prob. more comfy than stock.
