i bet your ebrake cables siezed.. pretty common problem actually. have someone actuate the ebrake while you look at the caliper arm, make sure its moving.. or remove the cable ends from the caliper and see if the drag goes away.

to check the calipers, remove the pads and see how hard it is to push the piston back in.. it should go in fairly easily.
