HAHA, yea im there right now, but that's why im spending as little as i can to fab something up, that way i can make a little profit if people like what i make and the guys on the forum get a huge discount. i think ultimately fiberglass might be what it's made out of, maybe plastic, CF is nice but is going up in price fast.
if your worried about temps, you should see the custom intake block off plate im going to fab up, keeps hot engine air seperated from the filter, very similar idea that K&N makes, just 1/4 the cost. but since im worried like you that there won't be air flowing into the engine bay on the driver side, im using a 10 inch fan to push hot air out of the engine bay. AND, on the passenger side, the 9" puller fan i have on my IC pulls cold air from outside the side vent very fast so that will be great.
