Most FPR's come tapped with a 1/8" NPT for a pressure gauge, as well as 3 (or more) inlet ports.

It's to reduce the amount of fuel going through the rail, which heats up the fuel. Which is route B I posted in my original post. Doing it this way would use all three ports on the FPR, instead of blocking one off.
