Ok, I came to the MR2 from the Honda side. I know several people with other non-honda cars a s well. Everyone I've met or talked to who has used SS Autochrome has wished they hadn't. The turbo manifolds crack, etc. It's just not worth it. I've never seen an SS Autochrome Kit work or last for long...maybe there are a few out there, as someone posted in this forum and said he liked it. But there are always expections. These are exceptions. SS Autochrome sucks, and they DO NOT stand behind there product when something goes wrong. You may end up paying twice, once for the SS now, and once for a re-built stock CT later...

I mean, it's your car, so feel free to take my advice or leave it, but in the end you're trading one problem for another if you go with SS. I'd stay away, stay far away. There's a reason if $440 for pretty much any kit they sell. At $440, you're near the price of a CT26 re-build...that's the route I'd go. I know people like cheap power, but SS just isn't worth it. It's not just for the MR2...I've seen their crap fail on many other cars. Their bad reputation is well earned, across almost every car brand out there...
