I think I would be satisfied with 6 lbs. to be honest.

You thinks so, do you? I'll believe that when I see it. Power is addictive. I worked with a guy that had an '72 challenger. He thought he'd be happy with a slightly overbored stock V8. He was. For a year or so... Then he decided stroking wouldn't be that much of a jump, if did that then he'd be happy and he was, for a while. After about 10 years, a whole mess of modsand even more money, he wound up with a supercharged 518 sticking out of the hood running "more power than anyone should ever have in a street car" (<--his words, not mine, if I remember right he was running around 20-25psi of boost...). Seriously, it would spin out on gravel roads at idle. I'm not talking just spinning the wheels, but sliding the rear end around to the left or right. he actually took out the stick for an auto tranny 'cause it tamed the car better.
I had that problem too. I got my ST MR2 and thought, combined with the lower weight, I'd be happy with the 15-20 HP over my FC. Now I'm building an FI engine to roughly double it. At least this time I'm doing it right and building it to as close to the limit as I can justify in one shot, but I"m not making any promises that I'll never up the boost or wind up building it up tougher yet.
