I would not recommend that engine to anyone after the issues my brother had.

He owns a 2003 Spec V, which rolled over to 9x,xxx miles and the engine blew 2 rods out the block; the company he got the new engine from wouldn't even take it as a core. The reason behind it was the fuel injectors have issues, and were never recalled. They basically hosed gasoline on top of the cylinder heads. This gasoline pooled up... eventually it detonated on him when he started it and blew up.

The engine was replaced in a matter of a few hours worth of work, (by a very good mechanic - it took him 1 & 1/2 hours to drop his old engine and tranny) but that wasn't the end of it. The replacement engine ran a whole 10 seconds before it vapor locked and skipped a tooth on the timing chain.

In simple words... I wouldn't recommend this engine, but this is just my .
