i have no ida what these are called, but i have seen them on every MR2 that i have looked at. i just noticed that the one on the passenger side has disappeared and i am left with just the driver side.
it's pretty much a small, black rubber piece that screws into the bottom corner of rear fender wells. its pretty much located where mud guards would go if you had them...here are some pics...
