More differences

I will be adding to this list here as I go through my gen 3 setup. I also have a few questions while I'm at it - Like is the clutch better in a gen3?

I think the exhaust manifold is slightly different as well - at least it looks a little bigger from the casting design...I will verify.

New exhaust heat shields - better design

totally different turbo oiling locations - much better especially if upgrading later.

Different heater and thermostat housings

There is a factory Exhaust gas temp thermocouple behind the cat. Note this is NOT an 02 sensor, but an actual 2 wire temp probe. I think this is why this fitting is in the Megan Racing downpipe - same one I use. I wondered what that was for!

Intake manifold looks like a lot better design...there is a larger plenum, and 4 large runners - b-bye TVIS.

Of course all oiling / cooling passages look a lot better. WAY bigger water feed to / from oil cooler. Nicer HFH as well - none of that is the same.

Check back for updates.

Thanks,
Patrick
