My buddy killed one in 92K miles... drove it like a race car and bless Carmax's heart for making an offer before he finished it off. Guy cranked it up to pull into the shop after my buddy traded it and abruptly shut it back off. I hear it wasn't pretty when he fired it back up. I suppose that is the down side of 7 day guaranteed offers to buy ehh? That motor was stout and the car absolutely hauled, but the key was, you had to drive them hard all the time, as the computer was a learning computer. My buddy drove it hard pretty much every time he got in, and he raced one that some girl had turboed down in Georgia and tore that car up. All he had was a injen cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust and a few cheap upgrades, where she had spent about 3-6k in mods. Newer cars can be quirky. His was an EARLY spec-v... was presold but the guy that had put a holder didn't show up that morning to pick it up... well my buddy was there with cash so he got one of the first ones in the city. The transmission also was having grinding issues... might have had something to do with his drunken aunt getting ahold of the car one afternoon on a booze run though... yikes!! I'd suggest another option being as these motors don't seem to last when pushed hard. We looked online fairly extensively after he grenaded the motor and couldn't find but maybe one other that had gone at a similar mileage (he put lots of miles on the car quickly), so he was possibly the first or second blown spec-v in the US

, lol.
